In addition to the well-proven and well-accepted vertical model series DLE, CST - the leading provider of their patented direct screen imaging technology - has just introduced their latest engineering development, the model series ECO. A flatbed version of the mature Digital Light Processing technology, utilizing the Texas Instrument DMD semiconductor, provides modern screenmaking without consumables at up to 1000 dpi.
This new CST system utilizes a brand new LED light source with multiple nanometer wavelenths of electromagnetic radiation near the visible part of the spectrum. The resulting high energy and enhanced spectral range allows processing commercially available liquid emulsions and/or capillary film. The live expectancy of the maintenance and energy stable LED elements is 5,000 imaging hours, not to be mistaken with machine “on” time as is the case with UV based systems. LED powered CST systems are 50% faster in imaging compared to UV based units and print results are better defined, crisper and of higher overall quality.
As a viable alternative to the vertical CST DLE machine series, this model is designed for the entry level and small and medium screenprinter who has been looking for a more affordable CST system, yet obtaining the same level of high-quality screenmaking.
